Transgender

We get asked many questions by people who are wondering about their sexuality and God. We chat with people who are struggling to come to terms with having the bodies they were born with and asking does God still loves me?

We speak to people who are happy with who they are and those who wish they were something different. Whatever your sexuality we are very happy to chat with you and help you to see and understand what God actually does say in the Bible about you – we think you will be surprised by what we explain.

We are all more than just a physical body, we also have feelings, emotions and a spiritual side to us. We really need to think about the whole of us including our spiritual side.

Who do you trust?

A big question for us all is who do we trust? When there is a difference of opinion do you think people should rely on their feelings to decide what is right and wrong? Do you think that every feeling we have is always okay? Or are some feelings not meant to be acted upon?

If like us you think that some feelings we have should not be acted upon then the question has to be, how do we decide what feelings are okay to act upon and which aren’t.

Think about the spiritual you

Do you believe there is a God? God is much more interested in you as a whole person than in your sexuality. Have you ever spent time trying to learn about who Jesus is, what he did and why he did it?

When people believe that Jesus loves them and is interested in them it gives them a bigger picture of the world around them and of what life is meant to be all about. It can give you a new hope and a new focus outside of yourself. The more you get to know Jesus the more you will want to live your life to please Him.

Is God against people who are transgender?

Some people think that God hates transgender people – but that isn’t true. God doesn’t hate people he cares for them and about them. God wants people to discover what it is to have peace with him and his acceptance and forgiveness. Whatever we feel about our sexuality God wants us to know Him.

Life is about more than sex

Our culture makes out that sex is what life is all about, but that is a lie because life is about so much more than sex. There are many people that go through life without sexuality as their focus. In fact sex and sexuality is one of the biggest causes of issues and problems in a relationship! A life that is fulfilled and meaningful can be had however we feel about our birth sex but our culture likes to hide this truth.

Feeling that our gender and birth sex are different is not a sin

There are many people who follow Jesus and the teachings of the Bible and who experience attraction to people of the same sex as them. The Bible never said that experiencing same sex attraction is a sin, it also doesn’t say that feeling attracted to someone else’s wife (or husband) is a sin. The big question is what do we do with this feeling of attraction, do we treat it like a temptation and say no to it or do we choose to think about it, imagine what could happen or act upon it. It is when we choose to imagine it or act upon it that things becomes a sin – and this is true if we are heterosexual or LGBTQ+.
